Donini’s in Wishart would have to be up there… Not sure if it’s the best though…
I have a couple. Pane e Vino in the city (Cnr Albert & Charlotte Sts) is absolutely divine and they always have cute waiters.
I also love Gino’s at Hamilton. Nothing fancy, but a big family atmosphere, great prices and hale and hearty food. You won’t go home hungry from Gino’s.
Mario Sarti on Sherwood Rd in Toowong is very good.
I agree with Kath. Pane e Vino and Ciao Baby on Sandgate Road at Albion/Clayfield is awesome too

Marios on gerler road in hendra. sandcrab lasagne – amazing!
Tartufo in emporium is without a doubt the best fine dining Italian restaurant in Brisbane. Second best would be viale canova at cnr sandgate rd and junction rd. Its probably more authentic and I should know I’m Italian.

Pane e Vino in the City: great food, friendly staff, prompt friendly service – and at fair prices. The daily specials are of high standard and the coffee is great!

Even after the change of ownership the food is still fantastic.

Grappino Trattoria on Given Tce at Paddington is amazing! The champagne & mushroom soup is magnificent!
