Where is Brisbane’s most ridiculously obvious brothel?

red-light-bulbBrothels do their very best to disguise themselves within the city and suburbia… badly. Most attempts to conceal brothels as innocuous residential houses or other kinds of businesses are usually so painful, they’re amusing.

Let’s face it, we’ve all had a little giggle at how badly some of these businesses camouflage into their surroundings. Time to share our favourites.

Which badly disguised brothel always gives you a giggle?

Thanks to @griffynn for today’s question suggestion!

There’s one on Fairfield Road that is so blocky and plain, there’s no way it could be anything but a brothel.

I’m guessing you’re referring to the Viper Pit. Unless they’ve changed their name, it’s been awhile since I’ve been over that way.

Eighty-Eight in Wooloongabba, behind a dodgy hedge right across the road from a major steakhouse. Lit up in cursive neon writing.

There used to be a small house on Old Cleveland Road in Camp Hill that would put a small red light out in the window on most Friday and Saturday nights. They were either a brothel or some stoned kids who liked red lights. And yes, the Viper Room on Fairfield Road is pretty darn obvious.
