Perhaps it’s an awesome shop or cafe that treats the regular locals particularly well.

The Green Oven at Alderley. Thumbs up.
Well not technically IN my suburb, but very close.
Hooked On Bread in Corinda. Some of the best pies and sandwiches I have ever tasted.
Next suburb over, but I love Ned’s Deli-Cafe on Fairfield Road at Yeronga.
Singh’s Curry House on St Vincents Rd @ Banyo. Little family owned-run business serving the best Butter Chicken ever – beautiful white chicken breast, deliciously creamy sauce…mmmmm. Korma and Madras Curry is great too.
Oxford Street Bakery (Bulimba) – The most devine cup cakes you will ever taste!
Weller’s Hill home hardware in Tarragindi! No matter what home improvement DIY project I’ve got on the go, the guys there take the time to help me out with advice and kit me out with all the right tools and materials. Big box stores just can’t compete with neighbours who care!
