Sydney and Melbourne are simply fun cities compared to snobby Brisbane. You can't cross a road without having to walk half a kilometre out of your way. The old school tie thinks Brisbane belongs to them. They have a inane dislike of anyone from the south and here are the pricks ruining our agricultural country with coal seam gas wells. Cull crocidiles get rid of stingers, improve tourism, build decent hospitals set up a dental scheme, make the fit and healthy dole bludgers work, provide better water management systems. Help farmers market their crops, provide new coal fired generation plants to use our cheap coal resources generate cheap power. Stick solar and wind where it doesn't belong. Get on board with the national education syllabus yahdayahdayahdah. It's a crying shame what Queensland has done and hasn't done.

No doubt about it, if you are looking for the best general knowledge quiz night, with plenty of twists, you've got to try Shenanigans....I hear due to popularity they now do quite a few, my fav though is Chalk Hotel on a Tuesday night. The host Danny is great, friendly and full of life too and they also do it on the many plasmas at Chalk , which I found very different.

Having been to a few pub quiz nights I would have to say that the one at Chalk Hotel on a Tuesday night is hands down the best by far! The best atmosphere, the best trivia host Danny and great prizes. A real fun night, in my opinion the best by a country mile.

Having attended many a trivia night in Brisbane, I must say 98% of them are BORING. Yes I have tried many on this list and still found the majority tedious, who wants to see a guy or girl perched in a corner, talking on a microphone hiding behind a sheet of paper.

Yes I am a bit of a trivia tragic, but having travelled the world as an entertainer for over 20 years, many of those spent hosting trivia nights in the UK I'd like to think I have some idea.

Some friends recently suggested we try Tuesday night trivia at Chalk Hotel at The Gabba and I have to say if you are looking for a fun, enjoyable trivia experience this would be it. The host Danny was brilliant, funny, warm and he certainly knew his stuff unlike many others. The venue was great, cheap steaks plus well priced drinks helps and the vibe was very cool. One of the many things that made Shenanigan's the best trivia in town was that every question was shown on what seemed like hundreds of screens, plus Danny and his crew have done some pretty damn funny AV skits and great prizes.

Danny and Shenanigan's keep up the good work and we'll be back....Shelley.

I host trivia at Chalk Hotel in Brisbane on a Tuesday night, so naturally I can't vote for myself, however what I can say is that we have an excellent following of between 17 - 25 teams, which would be one of the few Brisbane venues that regularly have crowds of 100 or more.

Definitely horses for courses, at Shenanigan's we offer more of a pop-culture and light-hearted entertaining quiz than most others, with all of our questions on screen, the occasional comedy sketch, and plenty of prizes including spot questions.

We have also recently given away a luxury BMW car for the weekend, one of the many things that makes Shenanigans unique and more fun!!
