Sometimes us mature folk are more partial to a pub where it’s more relaxed to meet others in a calmer location. However, these bars aren’t always easy to discover.

If you’re holding onto some local knowledge, please share the best pubs in Brisbane for a more mature crowd to get to know each other.

Mid week, try Gerties on Brunswick Street, New Farm.

Glass Bar at the Judith Wright Centre is a good choice. It’s not really a pub, though. Albion Hotel on Sandgate Rd is quite good.

Muddy Farmers on Ipswich Rd, Annerley is not too bad a place for the older crowd.
